I have started learning Swedish on Duolingo for the last 2 weeks.
Though I like the peacefulness as well as snow, lakes and forests in Finland, I am also fond of the dynamics and artchitectures in Sweden. What's more, I would love to have a chance to study and have some professional experience there. That's why I decided to learn Swedish.
The first impression of Swedish is hard pronunciation. Several words sound a bit weird to me and it has taken me quite an effort to learn to adapt to a completely different way of pronunciation. It seems to me that it would be a very long way to go before I could really speak the language. The pronunciation is a true challenge! Maybe, I would set the target of mastering "input skills" (reading, listening) first.
Wish me luck with Swedish ^^
