"I was wrong"

It's hard to say "I was wrong".

So in conversations, we would rather use up all possible rationales to defend ourselves and to find fault in others. This drags meetings.

Instead, a simple "I was wrong" really works towards earning empathy, supportiveness and having everyone push work in progress.

But the irony is we prefer "I am wrong" to "I was wrong".
